Who We Are
Worcester City Mission is an organisation that is made up of a group of Christians with a "vision" for outreach within the city centre. Members of WCM live in different parts of the city and worship in different churches.
Our Aims
The aims of the Worcester City Mission are:
- To reach out to those in need of Christ through the presentation of the Gospel Message.
- To work and co-operate with the churches in Worcester for the good of the Gospel.
- To provide a contact point and to enable people in various ways.
These aims involve open-air outreach in the city, and the goal of WCM is to be working in the city centre on a regular weekly basis.
What Do We Do?
We carry out street outreach through:
- Street preaching;
- Sketch board teaching;
- Feeding the hungry;
- One-to-one (personal) evangelism; and,
- Distribution of tracts.
Other forms of outreach include:
- Door to door calling;
- Saturday evening Soup Run;
- "Seasonal" tasks, such as distribution of Christmas parcels and wrapping Christmas presents.
